Here are our activities for April: Our Monthly Meeting is on Monday 8th April 2024 with speaker Marcus Ward of Wild New Forest. The subject is “Pine Martens in the New Forest” and the meeting is at Brockenhurst Village Hall – arrival from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Guests and visitors are welcome to attend. New Forest Show July 2023
A record number of Brockenhurst WI members entered categories in this years New Forest Show with the theme of celebration. We had 14 members step up to Kim’s challenge of entering the show and had entries in 11 of the 13 classes. Our February Birthday Meeting
This month Brockenhurst WI celebrated 105 years with a lovely social evening which was well attended. Members were treated by the craft group to a variety of demonstrations and activities. Karen showed us some great floral displays. There were 16 members celebrating theirs Birthdays this month who all received a a lovely polyanthus. We had our customary raffle. Friday 2nd December is the date for the Brockenhurst Christmas Fun Evening. Brockenhurst WI will be having a stall at the event. We have decided to sell homemade Christmas tree decorations and would very much like to get as many members as possible involved with this, either in making decorations to sell or helping on the night. Jubilee Celebrations Part Two -Refreshments at the Football Club
On Saturday of the Jubilee weekend, Brockenhurst WI teamed up with the Mother’s Union to provide refreshments at the Platinum Jubilee celebrations at the Brockenhurst Football club. An array of beautiful cakes were made for the occasion by our talented bakers and were very popular.
