Our July meeting was a craft evening. We also had a games table for those who prefer not to do crafts.

After singing Jerusalem and the business side of the meeting, we got busy on a range of crafts – paper, knitting, crochet, wire, fabric, air dried clay.

We also had a table working on our costumes for Brockival, the carnival in Brockenhurst on 31st August.

At this meeting, we had 3 members who have reached or will be reaching a milestone Birthday this summer. Many congratulations to you all. We are sure that one of the numbers on the cake is inside down!

We had our usual raffle, Plus Karen was selling tickets for the NFWI Raffle.

Our ‘competition for the month’ was an unusual biscuit tin and this was won by Esther with her German themed tin. The money raised from voting goes to ACWW.

We were reminded that our New Forest Show entries need to be derived to the WI tent at the Showground by 10.30am on Monday 27th July (or delivered to Christine on 26th July).

We don’t have a meeting in July and most of our activities take a break for the summer, but we do have our outing to the Poppy Factory in Richmond to look forward to. Please contact us for more details.
