Here are a list of activities and events for May:
This month’s walk and meet up will take place at 2.30pm on Thursday 11th May. The venue is to be confirmed (as Julie would like to try and arrange a bluebell walk if the bluebells are still out!)

If you would like to come, please contact us to book your place and Julie will email you to confirm the venue.
Our monthly meeting is later this month due to the Coronation. So it will be on Monday 15th May 2023. It is our AGM and we also have a speaker, Alan Frampton who will talk about ‘The History of Morris Dancing – forms & music‘. It will be held at Brockenhurst Village Hall. Arrival from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Guests welcome. Please see email Elaine for more information.
There will be a raffle at this meeting and the competition of the month is a flower (one single flower in a vase). We vote for our favourite by placing a silver coin against it (donations go ACWW).
Zena will be collecting membership subs which for the coming year is £46. You can also pay by bank transfer. Of this, £22.60 goes to our WI so as you can imagine, this does not cover hall hire, speakers etc. Hence why running the refreshment stall is so important to the funds of our WI. Find out more about the membership here.
We are asking for donations of toys at our meeting as Thursday June 1st will see the International Day for the Protection of Children in Ukraine. It’s impossible to imagine how their lives have been affected. So please help us to put some smiles on their little faces. We’d like to send as many gifts as possible – small toys, colouring books with pencils, puzzles, cuddly toys, sweets and more, so please bring your donations to the meeting (or deliver to Julie). Feel free to add any personal messages you’d like them to see – anything to help make this one day a little more special for them. Thank you.
