Members from Brockenhurst WI have continued to work hard making bandages for Ukraine. Carole hosted the first session of the month and triangular bandages were prioritised as these are needed for trauma packs. The second session was held at Julie’s house. August Update

We are having a busy August. Members have enjoyed a croquet evening, an event at Foxlease with other local WI clubs. We entered the New Forest Show. Beautifully made items taking hours to sew, knit, macrame, bake, make fruit marmalade, photograph, paint flower arrange and make a 1920’s larder with contents and a model allotment we managed to have several third prizes. New Forest Show 2022

After a two year gap, this week saw the return of the New Forest Show. The WI Schedule was ‘Step back in Time’ (carried over from 2020). The entry classes were: 1. ‘Sweets for my Sweet’ Peppermint Creams. Six sweets (half dipped in chocolate optional) displayed in a box with clear lid/clingfilm no larger than 6″ x 4″ (15 x 10cm).
