The start of December should have seen us having a stall at the Brockenhurst Christmas Fun Evening. Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas and forecasts of strong winds and heavy rain meant that the event was sadly cancelled. This was a real shame as the Craft Group hade been busy making items to sell and our Human Fruit Machine was primed and ready!

Monday 8th December was our WI meeting and Christmas Party. This took the form of a taste testing evening. This was expertly organised by Jayne and she was assisted by Karen M.

We also has a sales table selling the items that were destined to be sold at the Christmas Fun Evening. This made an amazing £160.50 for Honeypot Charity what supports young carers.

We also had a ‘Competition of the Month’ which was a Christmas table decoration. We also and a bumper raffle. You can read more about the meeting here.

The following day was the Brockenhurst Group Carol Service hosted by New Milton Sands WI and held at Ashley Baptist Church. This was a lovely service. Brockenhurst WI member Kim did a reading. The service was followed by tea and mince pies.

This was the perfect lead-up to Christmas!
