At our November meeting we had a return visit from Alistair Brien. When Alistair was last a speaker for us, he told us about his experiences of being a head teacher. But Alistair has many strings to his bow and as well as being a celebrant, Alistair is also a member of the Magic Circle. At this meeting, Alistair had his magician’s hat on, figuratively speaking!

Alistair wowed us with his magic and made us laugh with his puns. There was also lots of audience participation.

Alistair ended ‘the mystery of the cups and balls’ which is reputed to be the oldest magic trick!

ucAt the meeting we had lots of sign-up sheets for lots of upcoming activities, including crafts, lunch, walk and Christmas activities -something for everyone!

Our ‘Competition of the Month, in aid of ACWW, was an unusual/interesting bottle. This was won by Lizzie, with her miniature bottle.

We had 5 members celebrating Birthdays this month.

After the business part off the meeting, we had a raffle and refreshments.

Julie ended the meeting by thanking Janice for running our reception desk, Maureen and April for running the raffle, Janette for the beautiful table arrangement and Valerie and Jackie for doing the refreshments.
