On 27th January 12 Brockenhurst WI members and 5 of their partners enjoyed a morning visit to Testwood Lakes Nature Reserve, which is managed by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

We were introduced to the reserve and taken on a walk round the lake by Grace Brennan.

Visiting two bird hides on the way. Grebes, cranes, swans, cormorants, greater and small egrets were observed by the lakeside. 

Afterwards, 10 of the party had a lovely lunch at The Empress of Blandings on the way home.
