The Craft Group
Six members of the Craft Group met at Carole’s house on Friday 13th January. We talked about plans for craft activities to be part of February’s meeting, with the aim of encouraging entries for the Brockenhurst Group Show.
This linked into discussing workshops and activities based on crafts suitable for entering into the show, and members were full of good and interesting ideas. We also started thinking about the Co-operative entry for the Show, with ideas for the display.

On Friday 27th January ten members of the Craft Group met at Carole’s. We discussed and experimented with items for the Group Show Co-operative entry. We tried, not too successfully, except for Mel and Gina, to have a go at origami! It was a well attended and useful meeting, with lots of ideas and enthusiasm.
Quilting
On Friday 6th January, Kim hosted two quilting groups. The beginners group discussed what they would be doing and looked at material choices.
The intermediate group learnt how to make ‘snowballs’ and flying geese’ blocks. These will be used along with other blocks that they learnt last year, to make a patriot chain cushion/bed runner/bed quilt.

On Friday 20th January, the beginners group learnt how to make 9 Patch Blocks and did a great job.

The intermediate group worked on laying out their Patriot Blocks.

Our Lunch Club had a great meal at The Forest Park Hotel, organised by Chris K.
