Thankfully, it was cooler for our July walk.
We started at Beechern Wood car park and Whitemoor was very parched and almost white, with only a few animals too.

The Bog areas were quite green so they are probably still wet areas. The heather is just beginning to flower.

We headed up to Puttles Bridge, where, as you can imagine, the water levels were low.

It was cool walking through the wood.

We headed over the third bridge and headed for home back to the car park and saw lots of ponies and cows sheltering under what Julie calls the ‘meeting tree’!

We enjoyed our walk and getting out now the weather isn’t so intense.
Look out for the date of our next walk.
