At our meeting this month we had our Christmas party. It was a full on and fun-filled evening!
As people arrived, members and invited guests were given either mulled wine or mulled fruit punch.
Our winning entry and items made by members for the Group Show were on display for those who hadn’t managed to see them at the show.

This was followed by fish and chips and a minced pie.
We were then entertained via Zoom by Jo May. Jo trained as an orchestral percussionist at the Royal College of Music, but discovered what a great sound spoons made.
Jo demonstrated the great sounds that a variety of different spoons can make. Jo then taught us how to hold the spoons and taught us a few different rhythms. We played along, following Jo’s lead to “We Will Rock You”.

The presentation culminated in us joining in with Jo and playing the spoons and singing along to “Jingle Bells”.
The table decorations of Poinsettia’s were given to the person with the ‘lucky number’ on each table.
To conclude the meeting the raffle organised by Maureen and April, was drawn.
A good evening was had by all.
