After a busy July, Brockenhurst WI have a quieter August. We don’t have a Meeting in August, but we have a great speaker lined up for September (see below). Rita is continuing to hold bandage making sessions for Ukraine on Wednesday mornings from 10am-12 noon (except from Wednesday 16th August). Visit to Testwood Lakes Nature Reserve
On 27th January 12 Brockenhurst WI members and 5 of their partners enjoyed a morning visit to Testwood Lakes Nature Reserve, which is managed by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. October’s Meeting and Press Report
We met this month for our meeting at The Village Hall. The competition of the month for this month was to make Christmas Tree decorations. We received a good selection and money was raised by voting with silver coins for our charity ACWW. Tour of Southampton
On Tuesday 4th October members of Brockenhurst WI, partners and friends embarked on a guided tour of Southampton with a guide from See Southampton. This came about after our July Speaker whetted our appetite about the history of Southampton. The guide took us to the monument to the Pilgrim Fathers (and mothers!).
