October’s Meeting and Press Report

August Update

We are having a busy August. Members have enjoyed a croquet evening, an event at Foxlease with other local WI clubs. We entered the New Forest Show. Beautifully made items taking hours to sew, knit, macrame, bake, make fruit marmalade, photograph, paint flower arrange and make a 1920’s larder with contents and a model allotment we managed to have several third prizes. Our February Meeting and our 104th Birthday

Our February meeting saw Brockenhurst WI celebrating our 104th Birthday with 35 members and 7 guests in attendance. We had an action packed evening! We celebrated in style and started the evening with a glass of Bucks Fizz. 14 members celebrate their birthday in February and they were presented with a birthday posy. October Press Report

On Saturday 9th October, Brockenhurst WI provided refreshments at a World Textile Day in the Village Hall.  On arrival at the hall, we were met by a sea of colour literally everywhere from stands, table tops and coat racks.  Stallholders items were sourced from many countries, displaying fabrics, clothing, baskets, wall hangings and other items either sold or there for display and discussion.
