August Round-Up
August is generally a quiet month for Brockenhurst WI, although activities have still taken place this month. Rita and her team have continued to make bandages for Ukraine and are doing sterling work. Janette and the darts team have continued to practice ahead of their forthcoming match. After a busy July, Brockenhurst WI have a quieter August. We don’t have a Meeting in August, but we have a great speaker lined up for September (see below). Rita is continuing to hold bandage making sessions for Ukraine on Wednesday mornings from 10am-12 noon (except from Wednesday 16th August). Brockenhurst WI have had a busy month! Our Darts team had the last game in their pool on Thursday 6th July at the Foresters Arms against Sway WI. New Forest Show July 2023
A record number of Brockenhurst WI members entered categories in this years New Forest Show with the theme of celebration. We had 14 members step up to Kim’s challenge of entering the show and had entries in 11 of the 13 classes. Our next meeting is Monday 10th July 2023 Monthly Meeting with speaker Joanna Foat: “The Lumberjills – Britain’s Forgotten Army”. Brockenhurst Village Hall arrival from 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
