Brockenhurst WI April Activities 2026

We hope you have been enjoying the glorious sunshine. I can’t believe that we are already a quarter of the way through 2026!

April also sees the start of our membership year and subscriptions are now due. Members will be emailed with further details.

The NWFI have produced a new membership for that we are all required to fill in and sign as part of our membership. This is due to the Supreme Court in the UK ruling that defined the legal definition of a woman. Please refer here for more information about this.

Our Monthly Meeting is on Monday  13thApril The speaker is Graham Thompson, who will be giving us IT help and support. Arrival if from 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

The ‘Competition of the Month’ is ‘3 spring flowers in a jug’. There will be a raffle and we will also have NFWI raffle tickets on sale, so please bring some money to support these causes.

Please also remember to bring any Group Show entries that you still have so we can do a display of these.

Evelyn will be giving out seeds for our annual growing competition. This year it is sunflowers, so hopefully easier to grow than luffas! Judging will take place at our September meeting and the winner will be the biggest flower head, so you will need to present your flower head at the September meeting for judging. If you cannot be at that meeting, a friend can bring your flower head, but photos won’t be acceptable.
