This year marks 108 years since Brockenhurst WI was formed.
We are also celebrating 110 years of NFWI.
To commemorate these two great milestones, Brockenhurst WI applied for 30 hedge saplings from The Woodland Trust.
On Saturday 6th March, Friends of Brockenhurst Station and Greener Brockenhurst came together with Brockenhurst WI as a community to plant the hedge saplings in the wildlife area at Brockenhurst Railway Station.

John Wingham Secretary of the Friends of the Station commented. “We are delighted to work with SWR, the WI and Greener Brockenhurst to further enhance the ecology and appearance of the station.”
Thank you to all our volunteers for their hard work today. Many hands made light (and great) work!

Grateful thanks also go to Martin Fletcher who helped mark out the area and has given us lots of advice.
