September Round-Up 2025

September saw a return to full WI activities after our partial August break. Our September meeting was a Craft evening, giving us the opportunity to be creative and have a chat. You can read about it here.

Rita and her bandage makers have continued to make bandages for Ukraine, which are still sadly much needed.

Janette and the darts team have continued to practice on Thursday mornings at The Foresters Arms. They also had a friendly match against Sway WI.

The Craft Group had two meetings in September. At the first meeting, members made bunting for our ‘Bystanders can be Lifesavers’ campaign.

At the second meeting, Gina demonstrated how to do Black Stitch work.

Two of our members supported the Red Roses by going to matches, in the Women’s Rugby World Cup. We were delighted that England won!

We ended the month with Lunch Club at The Hare and Hounds in Sway where we were looked after by the staff and enjoyed our meals. As usual, there was plenty of chat and laughter.

We look forward to October!
