Monday January 13th 2025 Monthly Meeting Meeting with speaker Sandy Shore -“My life as a New Forest Keeper”. Brockenhurst Village Hall – arrival from 7.30pm for a 7.45pm start. Please note it’s a later start time.
The competition of the month in aid of ACWW will be ….. a postbox. This can be a photograph or painting of a postbox, a model, a knitted postbox or however you interpret it. So please bring along your postbox for our competition table. Members vote using a silver coin for their favourite flower. The flower with the most coins is the winner. The money is sent to our charity ACWW.
There will also be a raffle and sign up sheets for upcoming activities. There will be a sign up sheet for our February Birthday meeting as we will be having a fish and chips supper. Jackie will be collecting £8 for those wanting fish and chips (or a vegetarian option) at this meeting. This meeting will be for members only.
We will also be voting for a resolution to go forward for voting on at the NFWI Annual Meeting 2025. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.

Julie will be leading the next walk and meet up on Monday 27th January starting at 2pm. Meet at Beechern Wood car park off the Rhinefield Road, Brockenhurst. Please sign up at Monday’s meeting and provide your contact details in case of last minute change of plans as the weather can be unpredictable at this time of year. Do contact us if you’d like to come along so we know to expect you. The forest can be wet/muddy, so please wear suitable footwear.
The Darts team continue to practice most Thursdays at 11am at the Foresters Arms, Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. All welcome to join in. Please contact us for more details.
Rita is continuing with Bandage Making for Ukraine on Wednesday mornings from 10-12 noon at Rita’s house. All welcome to come along and help. Rita also welcomes help from those who can’t attend the bandage making sessions, but can help in their own homes. Rita is especially in need of people with sewing machines to do some simple machine sewing.Please contact us for more details and location or speak to Rita at Monday’s meeting.
The Craft Group will be running a session on Friday 10th January at 2pm. This is a planning afternoon to plan the year’s exciting activities. Please come armed with ideas. Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th April 2025 Needlework Fiesta at Brockenhurst Village Hall. Brockenhurst WI are running the refreshments stall at this event.
