November started with Kim running an apron making workshop – with great results being produced. Lunch was laid on by Kim and donations for this were sent to The Children’s Society.

On 2nd November Elaine, Janette, Christine and team made refreshments at World Textile Day at Brockenhurst Village Hall. Although the visitor numbers were low, we enjoyed the social side of this.

On Sunday 3rd November, we joined forces with Greener Brockenhurst to ‘March for Clean Water’ as part of our Clean Rivers campaign. You can read about it here.

Karen ran a Christmas floral session.

At our November meeting, our speaker speaker Alistair Brien, talked to us about “What they don’t tell you about being a head!” You can read about it here. He also did some magic tricks for us!

On 7th November, members of Brockenhurst WI joined with members of The Brockenhurst Group for a showing of the film Calendar Girls. We had photos taken in the photo booths and enjoyed considerably bigger buns, Victoria Sandwich cake and a cuppa.

Janet W represented Brockenhurst WI at the Remembrance Sunday parade and laid a a wreath.

On a snowy day, members of Brockenhurst WI had an afternoon at The Mayflower watching Chicago, organised by Christine.

Brockenhurst WI Christmas tree at St Saviour’s Church looked fantastic! Well done to Issy and team and all who made decorations and worked to make this so special. We are still waiting to hear which tree is the winning tree.

Christine also organised a Lunch Club session at The Filly, where lunch was enjoyed by all.

The Craft Group have been busy with Group Show entries and making decorations to sell on our stall at the Christmas Fun Evening.

Rita and team have been busy with Bandage Making for Ukraine on Wednesday mornings.

Janette and team have continued to have darts practice sessions at the Foresters Arms on Thursday mornings.

Brockenhurst WI have been supporting the WI ‘No More Violence Against Women’ by wearing white ribbons.
