The following activities are planned for this month:
On Monday 13th May 2024 we have our Monthly Meeting and AGM. You will need to have paid your membership subscription to be able to vote.
Our speaker is Sophie Paulson -“All Hands & Hearts -experience of volunteering in Puerto Rico & Turkey after natural disasters”. It will be held at Brockenhurst Village Hall with arrival from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Guests and visitors are welcome to attend.
The competition of the month in aid of ACWW will be a flower. So please bring a single bloom in a vase for our competition table. Members vote using a silver coin for their favourite flower. The flower with the most coins is the winner. The money is sent to our charity ACWW.
There will also be a collection tin for donations for ACWW for those who could not make the walk, but would like to donate.
Monday will be the last chance to sign up for our August trip to Wilton House, so please sign up if you would like to attend. If you have any questions, please see Karen Welch. We will require your payment of £18.50 by the June meeting.
The Craft Group will be running sessions on Friday 10th May and Friday 24th May from 2-4pm. Please contact us for more information, to book a place and for the location. Do see Carole at the monthly meeting if you have any questions or would like to attend future sessions and Carole will put you on the distribution list.

Julie will be leading the next walk and meet up on Wednesday 15th May starting at 2pm. The venue for this will be confirmed nearer the time (as Julie is hoping the bluebells will still be out). Please sign up at Monday’s meeting and provide your contact details as walks may have to be cancelled at the last minute this time of year! So do contact us if you’d like to come along so we know to expect you and we can let you know the venue.. The forest/paths can be wet/muddy, so please wear suitable footwear.

Lunch Club -Christine has organised lunch on Thursday 16th May at The Oak at Bank at 12.30pm. Please contact us for more information or sign up at the next meeting.

Rita is continuing with Bandage Making for Ukraine on Wednesday mornings from 10-12 noon at Rita’s house. All welcome to come along and help. Rita also welcomes help from those who can’t attend the bandage making sessions, but can help in their own homes. Rita is especially in need of people with sewing machines to do some simple machine sewing.Please contact us for more details and location or speak to Rita at Monday’s meeting.

The Darts team continue to practice most Thursdays at 11am at the Foresters Arms, Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. All welcome to join in. Please contact us for more details.

Greener Brockenhurst are having a stall at The Family Conservation Awareness Day at Bucklers Hard, on Sunday 12th May from 10am – 3.30pm

Saturday 1st June 2024 Brockenhurst Village Remembers – D-Day Celebrations. We are having a stall with the theme of Women in World War Two.
A Request Please – Does anyone have any preserving jars with food in we could use on the D-Day display? (Especially if anyone uses the Kilner jars with the screw top brass tops). We would welcome any at Monday’s meeting (13th May) or we can arrange to collect them from you. Please put a label on the bottom of the jar with your name so we know who to return them to. Monday 10th June 2024 Monthly Meeting with speaker Gavin Blackman -“Hypnotherapy & Wellbeing” at Brockenhurst Village Hall – arrival from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. At this meeting there will be a plant sale, so do plant up any cuttings or save your seedlings and seeds for this event.
