Here is the DRAFT schedule for the New Forest Show which takes place in July. The final version will be available in March. But in the meantime, get your thinking caps on!

1. ‘A piece of fudge is just enough to give yourself a treat’
   6 pieces of Fudge; 2 different flavours; displayed in a decorated box with clear
   lid, no larger than 15 x 10cm. OWTS p.131
2. For a hot day on the beach …’
   Homemade Summer Cordial concentrate – 500ml, presented in a clear bottle,
   any shape, swing top or new screw cap. List of ingredients on the label. No
   alcohol. OWTS p.144
3. ‘A piece of cake’
   Spiced Dorset Apple Traybake – traybake tin 30 x 23cm x 4cm deep, as per
   recipe supplied. 3 slices, displayed on a board, no larger than 20 x 15cm,
   covered in cling film. OWTS p.123
4. Produce Co-operative ‘A Beach Bag Picnic for Two’
   3 different food items, (2 savoury and 1 sweet), to be displayed on a board no
   larger than 51 x 51cms. Backboard optional but must be within the 51 x
   51cm size, to be viewed from the front. No meat or fish and all food items to
   be covered in cling film. Accessories may be used, but must be within the
   exhibit area and will be marked as part of the staging and interpretation.
   Please add name of WI on to underside of board. At least three members to
   take part, but only two to stage on Monday 29th July. OWTS p.130 (see

5. NOVICE CLASS Knitting/crochet ‘Let’s be mermaids’
   A Mermaid – knitted (OWTS p.80) or crocheted (OWTS p.67), no longer than
   40cm. No kits please. N.B. This is not a toy.
6. Jewellery – A Jewel in the Sand’ An item of beach-themed jewellery. No knitting or crochet.
7. Charity Class
   Honeypot Memory Bags for children aged 5 – 12 years, as per pattern
   supplied. Finished bag should be 40 x 40cm approx. All entries to be
   donated to Honeypot.
8. Craft Co-operative ‘Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside’
   3 different craft items. Board no larger than 61 x 77cm, backboard optional,
   but must be within overall size; viewed from the front. Accessories may be
   used, but must be within the exhibit area and will be marked as part of the
   staging and interpretation. Please add name of WI on to underside of board.
   At least three members to take part, but only two to stage on Monday 29th

   interpretation)
9. Flowers ‘There are flowers in my bucket …’
   An arrangement in a child’s bucket, no spade. The diameter of the bucket, no
   larger than 15cm. Overall height of bucket and flowers up to 35cm, width
   appropriate to height. No board; accessories to be contained within the
   exhibit. OWTS p.164
10. Photography ‘Discover the charms of the Pier…’
    A photograph you have taken of pier life within the last year. Title on the front.
    Photograph 13 x 18cm, framed, within a mount ready to hang/stand
    (no clip frames). Maximum 2 entries per member. OWTS pp. 104-105
11. Art ‘Life’s a beach’
    A painting/drawing, any medium, nothing stitched or sewn. Exhibit must be
    framed, glazed and ready to hang (no box frames, clip frames or canvases
    due to humidity). Width no larger than 36cm, height appropriate.

12. Paper craft ‘Wish you were here …’
    A postcard, just one side, no larger than 13 x 18cm, in an unsealed
    cellophane bag (for judging purposes). One card per member. OWTS p.77
13. Committee Cup (public vote) ‘That’s the way to do it …’
    ‘Punch and Judy Show on the beach. On a board no larger than 35 x 35cm,
    to be viewed from the front. Several members to participate. Craft items only,
    no mechanics, no Lego. Please add name of WI on to underside of board.
