Here are the activities that are planned for November:

Rita is continuing with Bandage Making for Ukraine on Wednesday mornings from 10-12 noon at Rita’s house. All welcome to come along and help. Please contact us for more details and location.

The Darts team continue to practice on Thursdays at 11am at the Foresters Arms, Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. All welcome to join in. Please contact us for more details.

Monday 13th November 2023 Monthly Meeting with speaker Jeremy Prescott “The Victoria Cross” at Brockenhurst Village Hall – arrival from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Click here to email us for more information.

The competition of the month in aid of ACWW will be berries. There will also be a raffle.

There will also be some children’s activity books from Honeypot that will be available for a minimum donation of £2.

On Saturday 18th November, members of Brockenhurst WI will be attending a Day of Actions for the United for Warm Homes campaign . Our members, along with members of Greener Brockenhurst and Eco Church have been busy making quilt squares for a community quilt, supporting the National United for Warm Homes Campaign. This joint effort to produce a visual aid reflecting the need for renewables, insulation and warm homes.  MPs and Councillors have been invited to the Day of Action so that we can make our views known that we are campaigning for a common goal: warm homes for all.

Julie will be leading the next walk and meet up on Wednesday 22nd November. Meet at Beechern Wood car park off the Rhinefield Road, Brockenhurst for a 2.30pm start. Please sign up at Monday’s meeting or contact us  so we know to expect you. The forest can be wet/muddy, so please wear suitable footwear.

Forthcoming Events

We have again booked a stall at the Village Fun Christmas Evening, and will be putting on a “Human Fruit Machine”, with a Christmas theme. This takes place on 1^st December. 

Planning has started for our Christmas party at our December meeting on Monday 11th December. This will take the form a social evening at the hall, with mulled wine .  Members will also be asked to bring a small plate of food to share, and further details and a sign-up sheet will be available at the next November meeting. Click here for more information.
