After a quiet August, we were back with a vengeance in September!
Rita and her team have continued to make bandages for Ukraine.

Janette and the darts teams have continued to practice ahead of the final in October.

At our September meeting we were entertained by local speaker Helen McGinn and had the judging of our chilli growing competition.

Christine K organised a lunch club visit to Daisy Tea Garden at Setley Ridge.

Our Craft Group resumed their meetings. They started the month by learning water colour paining skills.

In the second meeting Lindy hosted a great card making session.

In the final session needle felting was revisited.

September saw the launch of the Clean Rivers campaign, which is our resolution for this year. We kicked off the campaign making a (Mexican) Wave at our September meeting.
There was a display about the campaign, local pollution and the issues involved in the old telephone kiosk in Meerut Road. We asked locals and local campaigning groups to take a photo of themselves at the kiosk.

There were also daily posts on the website of the issues involved and what we can all do to help and take part in the campaign.
We finished the campaigning week with a walk, inviting local campaigning groups and organisations to join us.

We ended the month by running the refreshments stall at World Textile Day. Our WI members did us proud making a beautiful array of cakes. Our volunteers did a great job in serving refreshments.

This was also the first outing for our new banner!

We now look forward to October!
