Brockenhurst WI have continued to run lots of different events and activities.
Our monthly meeting was also our AGM. As well as having a speaker, we also did a toy collection for Ukraine. You can read about it here.

Members enjoyed the sunshine and seeing bluebells at our monthly walk.

Bandage Making Sessions
As well and the usual Wednesday bandage making session, Rita ran a session as part of “The Big Help Out”. It is great that Rita and her team are continuing to support Ukraine. T%he last session in May will be held on Wednesday 31st in the afternoon (so members can attend Pat Farr’s funeral).

Craft
Mel led a card-making workshop which was attended by seven members of craft group at Anne P’s house. We spent an enjoyable time making embroidered cards, tutored by Meral. Everyone produced pretty stars, and Christmas trees. We had in mind this might be something we could incorporate into entries for the New Forest Show. Mel gave us some templates we could use, and advised how we could also come up with our own designs, and Jackie found a website online where we could download lots more. Everyone was pleased with their efforts. A big thank you to Meral for her skill and patience, and also to Anne for the use of her kitchen, and providing yummy brownies.

Julie led a jam making sessions and we enjoyed tasting the jam that was made.

Jackie hosted a Needle Felting session in her lovely garden on a beautiful afternoon. This was led by Evelyn and Julie and apart from plasters being needed, the session was enjoyed by all.

Lunch Club
Lunch was enjoyed by 11 members at The Mayflower in Lymington . There was a lot of chatting and a good time was had by all.

Darts
The darts team has continued to practice on Thursday mornings.
They had a match against Holbury Manor at the Gang Warily sports centre, which out=r team won! The team were Janette S, Karen W, Tricia H and Kathryn W. The next match will be Sway in July, that will be our only other match in this round as Ringwood have pulled out.

We now look forward to June activities!
