March Walk and Meet Up

Despite a month of mixed and often rainy weather, we were able to do our March walk with just occasional drizzle as we started off from Beechern Wood car park.

After so much rain in was nice to get out into the ‘fresh’ air and stretch our legs.

Even on a breezy grey day, there are always interesting things to see in the New Forest and we enjoyed seeing vibrant moss shining like a jewel out of the gloom.

We walked through the woods.

We delighted in the number of ponies that we saw.

Some even had riders!

As we headed back to the car park, the ‘Meeting Tree’ didn’t disappoint, even if the drizzle did!

We wondered how different the Forest will look now that spring is springing and look forward to our April walk.

Thanks go to Christine K for leading the walk and taking the photos.
