Bandage Making

Rita continues to hold Bandage making sessions at her house on Wednesdays between 10am and 12 noon. All are welcome to attend and lend a hand.

Rita’s Open Garden in Aid of Ukraine

Rita held an Open Garden in aid of Ukraine on the weekend of 18th and 19th March. Despite a a wet morning on Saturday, the weather in the afternoon was kind on the whole and didn’t stop the visitors from coming.

There was a steady stream of visitors on both days enjoying Rita’s beautiful spring garden. Tea/coffee and cakes and the plant sale table were also popular.

A fantastic £1400 was raised over the 2 days! Well done Rita and all your helpers.

Rita wishes to thank Brockenhurst WI members for donations of cakes and help on the day. It was a real community effort!

Meet Marcin

New Forest for Ukraine are hosting an event where you come and meet Marcin – their wonderful volunteer in Ukraine! Marcin goes above and beyond to deliver aid and serve food sent by New Forest for Ukraine

The event is being held on Wednesday April 19th 2023, at the Brockenhurst Village Hall, at 7.30pm.

Marcin will be sharing his own incredible experiences and pictures from the war.

There will also be a taster of locally-made Ukrainian food, and drinks may also be purchased at the bar.

Tickets will be sold for £5 per person, and all profits will go towards Marcin’s soup kitchen in Ukraine.
