Today Brockenhurst WI took part in Brockenhurst Village Annual Pancake Race. There was an impressive turnout of competitors and spectators for this event and good to see such community spirit.

It was lovely to see WI Members out to watch this event and to cheer on their team.

The were races for everyone from toddlers up and from many different village groups, which was lovely to see.

Our team of 4 consisting of Janice Pettigrew, Evelyn Bartlett, Julie Wootten and Meral Carter represented Brockenhurst WI in the walking relay race.

The race was run in good spirit and Brockenhurst WI crossed the line in joint first place thanks to the great camaraderie of the Brockenhurst Cinema team.

Each team member received a medal and a certificate.

Well done to the team from Brockenhurst WI, all the teams that took part, the organisers and all those who came to watch for making it such a great event.
