This month Brockenhurst WI celebrated 105 years with a lovely social evening which was well attended.
Members were treated by the craft group to a variety of demonstrations and activities.

Karen showed us some great floral displays.

There were 16 members celebrating theirs Birthdays this month who all received a a lovely polyanthus.

We had our customary raffle.

Afterwards we raised a toast to 105 years with Prosecco and beautifully decorated cup cakes (thanks to Zena) with Happy 105th Birthday with the logo of a badger in the centre and Brockenhurst WI on.

There were lots of sign-ip sheets for many forthcoming activities.

This was accompanied by a lot of chatting and friendship.
Rita told us about her Open Garden in aid of Ukraine on 18th and 19th March and asked for volunteers to help her serve refreshments and also make cakes to support this great cause.
Our next meeting on Monday March 13 2023 at 7pm for 7.30pm start. We will welcome back Jane Glennie who will talk about “Violet’s Britannic Escape” – Nursing experiences during World War One. If you wish to join us please email brockenhurstpres@hampshirewi.org.uk for further details.
