Our member Kim offered to teach members of Brockenhurst WI Craft Group how to make a Patchwork Elephant in aid of The Children’s Society.

We gathered with our sewing machines and equipment and got et up.

Kim showed us the pattern and demonstrated how to get started.

We set to work cutting and sewing.

By the end of the day we had got material on the outline shape.

We went home with instructions and homework and a Zoom call planned for further tuition.

We will update you on our progress. Hopefully, ours will look like Kim’s finished patchwork elephant!

Kim is going to be running a ‘Learning to Quilt’ course for beginners and intermediate sewers.

The session will start in January and be held on a Friday afternoon on the following dates:

• 6th January
• 20th january
• 3rd February
• 3rd March
• 17th March
• 25th March

The first group of quilters will be doing a ‘Show and Tell’ session at our December meeting so you can see what it’s about ask questions and sign up!
