Our November meeting was once again a busy one!
We had 3 Birthday girls, visitors and guests.
We had a raffle run by Maureen and Liz D

The Competition of the Month was a flower and this was won by Evelyn.

Janice continued to collect hats for her “Hats off for Ukraine”collection. They will be much needed in Ukraine this winter.

We had a collection of red and green items for the Hampshire WI Hamper collection.

We also had a speaker, Annette Williams. Annette talked to us about her beautiful crafts she has made over some years. She is a member of a Dorset Federation of WI’s. She put out a display and talked us through the items which varied from quilts, Christmas stockings, crocheted items, knitted items. Most of the work was hand sewn. She uses different materials to make items and uses a variety of techniques and is keen on recycling. As a judge and a teacher she was able to pass on many ideas and tips. Her miniature trees and boxes (suitable for dolls houses) were incredible. So much patience must be needed and good eyesight.

Hopefully this has inspired members to have a go and enter our Group Show if not The New Forest Show!
On 2nd December we have a stall at the Brockenhurst Christmas Fun Evening in Brookley Raod from 6pm-8pm. We are continuing to make Christmas decorations to sell over the two hours. Our members have worked hard with these

Our December Meeting is our Christmas Party and is for members only. If you haven’t RSVP’d to say that you are attending, please email Elaine and let her know.
We will be welcoming guests at the meeting on Monday 9th January 2023. The speaker is Bob Sinfield and his topic is ‘The Gag Trade’. This starts at 7pm. Please contact us if you wish to come to our January meeting.
