Here is a round-up of our forthcoming activities for November:

On Monday 14th November we have our monthly meeting. The theme is Christmas & Celebration Crafts, with a demonstration by Annette Williams. It will be held at Brockenhurst Village Hall arrival from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Annette will will have kits for sale, so bring money with you if you would like to purchase anything.

Janice will have a table for anyone who has kindly donated knitted hats for her ‘Hats Off for Ukraine’ campaign.  She will then deliver them to New Forest for Ukraine who will ship them out to Ukraine.

There will also be a raffle.

We are also asking for donations for our hamper. The theme is red or green items (non-alcoholic). See Elaine’s email for further information. .

The competition of the month will be a single flower in a vase. Members get the chance to judge the flower by placing a silver coin next to their favourite flower. You cannot vote for your own entry though! Coins are donated to ACWW -Associated Country Women of the World.

Bandage Making – New Forest for Ukraine are winding up their bandage making efforts. We will continue bandage making during November and have December off. We will then reassess the situation in January. In the meantime, are trying to make another 500 trauma packs before they finish, so they are asking for a concerted effort and need another 1000 triangular bandages. To help them achieve this, we are holding the following bandage making sessions:

• Wednesday 2nd November at Carole’s house
• Wednesday 9th November 10am at Julie’s house
• Wednesday 16th November 10am at Evelyn’s house
• Wednesday 23rd November 10am at Julie’s house
• Wednesday 30th November 10am at Julie’s house

If you cannot make these dates but would like to help, there are jobs that can be done in your own home, so please do contact us and we will get the supplies and instructions to you.

The Craft Group have been beavering away making Christmas decorations for our stall at the Brockenhurst Fun Evening on 2nd December. We will be continuing making decorations at our forthcoming sessions on:

• Friday 11th November 2pm at Carole’s house
• Friday 25th November 2pm at Corinne’s house
• Monday 28th November 7pm at Julie’s house – making Christmas decorations from recycled items

We thank all our members who have been making decorations at home and ask that all decorations are delivered to Julie’s house by Monday 28th November so we can sort and price them ready for Friday.

With all we have going on and with the current wet and windy weather, we have decided to pause our walks until the New Year.

Lunch Club

November’s Lunch Club take place on Monday 21st November at 12.30pm at The Hare and Hounds in Sway. This is being organised by Christine K.

Darts – Join us each Thursday at 11am for a darts practice at Foresters Arms, Brookley Raod, Brockenhurst. All welcome to join in. Please contact us for more details and to check the session is on.
