September Bandage Making for Ukraine

This month Carole, Rita and Julie have hosted bandage making sessions and have been ably assisted by a great team of helpers from Brockenhurst WI. (Sadly, I’ve forgotten to take many photos of our helpers – apologies!)

We have continued to prioritise making triangular bandages as these go in trauma packs as these are what are most needed. We have just heard that 2000 trauma packs (containing 4000 triangular bandages) have now been sent to Ukraine by New Forest for Ukraine.

We have been also been ripping sheets, sewing strips and rolling for rolled bandages.

Brockenhurst WI are pleased to have played a part in this, but feel sad that it is needed.

We will continue to hold bandage making sessions and have organised the following sessions for October:

  • Wednesday 5th October 10am-12 noon – to be held at Evelyn’s house
  • Wednesday 12th October 10am-12 noon – to be held at Julie’s house
  • Wednesday 19th October 10am-12 noon – to be held at Carole’s house
  • Wednesday 26th October 10am-12 noon – to be held at Rita’s house.

Please contact us for more details and location.

Please also let us know if you are coming to any of these sessions.

If you cannot make these dates but would like to help, there are jobs that can be done in your own home, so please do contact us and we will get the supplies and instructions to you.

Thank you to each and everyone who has helped with bandage making.
