Rather than doing separate posts for our activities, this month we are going to trial doing one post that covers all the activities for the month.

Monthly Meeting

Our meeting is on Monday 12th September. The subject is Violette Szabo GC and the speaker is Jeremy Prescot.

At Brockenhurst Village Hall 7pm arrival from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Visitors are most welcome to attend.

Craft Club

The next term will start on Friday 16th September at 2pm Craft Group Session at Carole’s house. All welcome to come along and find out what the craft club does. Lots of different crafts and activities are included under the umbrella of ‘Craft Club’ and you don’t have to be good at everything or go to every meeting.

This meeting is about planning activities for the rest of the year and beyond!

We have Christmas coming up. Plus in the New Year we have the Group Show and we would love as many people as possible to take part. You can read about the categories here.

Lunch Club

September Lunch Club is being organised by Christine K. This will take place on Monday 2nd October at 1pm at Rosie Lea House, Southampton Rd, Lymington SO41 8PT (date changed due to the Queen’s funeral).

There will be a sign-up sheet with menu choices at Monday’s meeting, or please contact us if you won’t be at the meeting but would still like to attend.

Walk

Our September walk will take place on Monday 26th September starting at Beechern Wood Car Park, just off the Rhinefield Road, at 10am.

We will walk for one to two mile miles and will walk at gentle pace to suit all.

The paths can be wet or muddy, so please wear appropriate footwear for all eventualities.

Ukraine hosts and guests are invited to join us for this walk.

There will be a sign-up sheet at Monday’s meeting, or please contact us if you won’t be at the meeting but would still like to attend.

Bandage Making

Sadly, bandages are still very much needed in Ukraine, so we are continuing to make them.

We have planned out bandage making sessions for September and there are as follows:

Wednesday 14th September 10am Bandage making at Carole’s house. Please contact us for more details and location.

Wednesday 21st September 10am-12 noon Bandage Making at Julie’s house. Please contact us for more details and location.

Wednesday 28th September 10am-12 noon Bandage Making at Julie’s house. Please contact us for more details and location.

If you cannot make these dates but would like to help, there are jobs that can be done in your own home, so please do contact us and we will get the supplies and instructions to you.
