Last week, Rita kindly hosted a bandage making session and herself and Jan V worked hard rolling bandages.

This week Julie hosted the session and Carole, Maureen and Julie prioritised making triangular bandages and tourniquet ties which go into the trauma packs. Around 45 triangular bandages and tourniquet ties were made.

Ann H has been busy rolling bandages and we have also been helped by a guest.

WI members have been very generous in resourcing sheets and we now have a good supply of polycototton sheets that can be made into rolled bandages and cotton sheets (supplied by New Forest for Ukraine from donations from hospitals etc), so we do not require any more sheets, thank you.
As has been mentioned, at our bandage making sessions, we have been prioritising making triangular bandages which are most needed for the trauma packs Ukraine as two triangular bandages go in each trauma pack.
Julie is asking for help ripping, sewing, measuring and rolling bandages from our supply of polycotton sheets so she can find her spare bed again! These jobs can either be done in your own home, with a group of friends, or if you can spare an hour or two, Julie will host a session on Monday 5th September at 2pm and will throw in a cuppa and biscuit! Please do contact us or comment on this post if you can help. Thank you.

Here are the dates for bandage making for the next few weeks:
